Quantitative Feedback from Students

Each semester, students complete Student Ratings of Teacher Effectiveness (SRTE), Penn State’s locally developed instrument for gathering feedback from students at the end of a course. Penn State's Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence provides information for understanding and using these statistics.

Qualitative Feedback from Students

In conjunction with each semester's SRTE completion, students are asked to answer a series of open-ended questions about the course and the instructor. While these questions are optional, students who complete them often offer reflective evaluations of the course and the instructor.
