Grammar Sites
  • Tex's French Grammar: Asite with grammar explanations and self-correcting exercises, pdf downloads, and iTunes podcasts.
  • Verb Conjugator: Provides all verb tenses so students can check their conjugations.
  • French Language Guide: Sound integrated grammar guide = mouse over words or phrases to hear them pronounced.
  • YouTube French Language Channel: Videos explaining French grammar from beginning to advanced.
  • Imagiers: An open Facebook group of learners exploring the French language together.

Comprehensive Sites
  • The BBC's French Language Site: A site with French lessons, slang, listening comprehension links, and even a test to check your French level.
  • Le Point de FLE: A repository of French exercises and resources available online.
  • Français interactif: An open-source French program from the University of Texas, with videos, workbooks, grammar explanations, and an online textbook.

Online Dictionaries
  • WordReference: An excellent online French-English/English-French dictionary (based on Oxford-Hachette) with forums for asking about specific lexical difficulties.
  • Larousse (Bilingual): A French-English/English-French dictionary 
  • Larousse (Monolingual): French-French dictionary that also provides synonyms, homonyms, antonyms, useful phrases, verb conjugations, and "thorny problems" for words. 
  • Trésor de la langue française: Online monolingual French dictionary with meanings and etymologies; called "the most important dictionary of the French language".

Vocabulary Resources
  • Le Français cool: Guide to French slang from the BBC
  • Le Mot du Jour: French word of the day plus access to previous words of the day
  • Word Dynamo: French vocabulary games from Dictionary.com
  • Quizlet: Allows you to make your own online flashcards to study vocabulary
  • Vocabulary Links: A list of 100 French vocabulary sites put together by the University of Tennessee-Martin
